What to Expect During Your First Visit To Our Mitchellville Office

During your initial call with our Mitchellville team, we'll collect important information about your concerns and treatment goals and get the best cell phone number to contact you.

We have an eco-friendly, paperless practice, so our team will communicate with you through calls, texts, and emails.

Fill Out a Welcome Form

After your onboarding call, we'll send you a welcome form to collect more information, such as your medical history. Save time during your first appointment by completing the information online before your appointment. We can also provide the form on the day of your appointment if you'd prefer to fill it out in person.

Arrive at Our Office

Our office is located in the Mitchellville Plaza in suite 12132. You can walk into our practice from the public parking lot directly outside. Our Mitchellville office has private orthodontic suites, giving you individual attention, separate from other patients.

Provide ID and Insurance Card

On the day of your appointment, you'll be greeted by our friendly front-office staff. We ask that you bring your ID and insurance card for our staff to take copies of for future reference and documentation for our system.

Take X-rays and Photos

Your dental visit begins with our dental staff taking complimentary high-quality X-rays using our state-of-the-art technology. These scans give Dr. Stuart A. Scott, our orthodontist, a clear view of your mouth's structures. We will also capture your "before" smile with photos to track your progress throughout your orthodontic journey. These X-rays, photos, and your entire first consultation are free.

Explore Your Treatment Plan

Dr. Scott will compile a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan to help straighten and improve the look and feel of your teeth. He will provide you with a written summary of this treatment plan.

Discuss Insurance and Financing Options

Our treatment coordinator will discuss the cost of treatment with you and provide you with a statement that factors in coverage from your insurance plan.

We accept most insurance providers, but if you don't have insurance or your treatment isn't covered, we also accept monthly financing plans through CareCredit® and LendingClub.

Get Started Right Away

In most cases, we can start your treatment on the same day as your first appointment. We can also schedule your first treatment for a later date if you'd prefer. Either way, it's time to experience the smile of your life.
